ORANGEVALE, Calif. -- A community group said they are missing out on charity money after a group of thieves stole $13,000 worth of fireworks. The Relay For Life fireworks booth operated from the Orangevale Community Center on Hazel Avenue. The group had hoped to raise money for the American Cancer Society with the sales."It's heartbreaking. I'm really not composed, to be honest. I've done a lot of work, my whole crew has done a lot of work and this is just horrible," fundraiser Lorraine Silvera said.Investigators said surveillance video at the center captured images of two cars in the parking lot near the locker at night.Silvera said the thieves cut a lock and broke into the supply area."I'm really upset because when I hear about people stealing from people who do a service for the charities, especially the cancer," volunteer Bill Amantea said.Workers from Phantom Fireworks restocked the booth Wednesday afternoon.
