RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. -- One person was arrested Wednesday after a shooting in Rancho Cordova, police said.

Sheriff's deputies received a report of a buglary at an apartment complex just off Vehicle Drive.

Witnesses told police that two men had been arguing. One man allegedly kicked open the door of an apartment and was shot.

The shooting victim was taken to a local hospital.
