Teen Charged With DUI In Fatal Crash

A 16-year-old has been charged with vehicular manslaughter after allegedly driving under the influence during a crash that resulted in a death, prosecutors said Wednesday.

A 58-year-old Natomas area man was killed in the crash that took place Friday evening at the intersection of Cottage Way and Fulton Avenue.

The teenager is being charged with two counts of DUI, one count of hit-and run causing injury and one misdemeanor count of driving without a valid drivers license along with the vehicular manslaughter charge, prosecutors said.

He will make his first court appearance Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
